What is the DNA-28 Genetic Test?

The DNA-28 Genetic Test is a simple and non-invasive genetic test designed to detect your genetic susceptibility to the 28 most common diseases in the world.

It is very important to be aware of your health state. If you know there is a high risk of developing a disease with you, you can take certain actions or start treatment to delay the onset of the disease, mitigate its effects or reduce the risk of its occurrence.

How reliable is the DNA-28 Genetic Test?

The test results are based on expert verification of thousands of studies of single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with the causes of diseases in the human body. This test represents the best knowledge in the field of DNA - available in our time.

How often should I take the test?

Your genes do not change over time (except in extremely rare cases), so you need to do this once in a lifetime.

How do I make an order?

You can order a test kit in one click! Just click the button "Order Now", fill in all the data and complete your order by following our instructions. We will email you when your order is on its way to you.

Can I make an order from anywhere in the world?

Of course. We provide free courier delivery worldwide!

How do I send a sample of saliva?

After you have collected a sample of saliva and are ready to send it to our laboratory, simply go to the "Personal Account" section and click "Register the kit."

After registering your kit, you will have a new step “Call a courier”. Fill out the form with your details, address and contact number, so that we can pick up the sample. Our courier can pick up your sample from Monday to Friday during working hours from 8.00 to 18.00

How will I receive my kit?

We deliver and collect your sample kit by a courier company. We use UPS to ship your order.

After you have collected a sample of saliva, simply go to the "Personal Account" section and click "Call a courier" Fill out the form with your details, address and contact number, so that we can pick up the sample. Our courier can pick up your sample from Monday to Friday during working hours from 8.00 to 18.00

How do I pack a sample of saliva to send it to the lab?

Your DNA collection kit was delivered inside a plastic box in which you place a tube with a sample of your saliva. Then place the plastic box in the enclosed envelope with our DNA-28 logo and seal it.

Now you can pass an envelope with a sample of saliva to our courier.

How can I pay for the test?

We offer you 2 payment options for the purchase of your DNA-28 Genetic Test:

How do I get my money back?

You can get a full refund if the kit has not yet been shipped. Please contact us by e-mail support@dna-28.com or by calling us (phone number is indicated in the “Contacts” section) so that we can help you as quickly as possible.

Is there any extra charge?

No, you don't have to pay for anything else! You only pay for what you see.

What is the cost of delivery?

The cost of delivery and shipping via courier is included in the price of your kit.

Confidentiality
Are my results and DNA confidential?

Maintaining the privacy of your personal data is our top priority. Therefore, we have put all our efforts into the latest modern technologies to ensure the protection of your personal data. Your information is not provided to anyone outside the laboratory.

In addition, in the lab, we use a barcode system to separate your personal information (for example, your name or address) from your DNA. Therefore, your personal data is completely confidential.

Do you test my whole DNA?

No, we test only those genes that we use in our report, nothing more.

How do I use the kit?
How do I provide my saliva sample?

Each kit contains detailed and simple instructions for providing a sample of saliva.

There are only a few things to keep in mind:

  • Do not eat, drink, smoke or use chewing gum for 30 minutes before collecting samples of saliva so that no impurities are contained in the saliva and enough epithelial cells have accumulated.

  • Do not remove plastic wrap from the funnel cap.

  • Collect saliva into the tube using a funnel until it is between clearly marked lines.

  • Ensure that your sample contains only liquid saliva, without bubbles.

  • Close the cap tightly by pressing on it until you hear a click. Unscrew the funnel from the tube and close tightly with a small cap. Shake for 5 seconds.

Now you can send a sample of saliva to our laboratory. Also, make sure your sample is registered before transferring it to our courier.

Should I see a doctor to get tested?

No, you can easily take the test at home. Each DNA test kit contains detailed instructions to make collecting your saliva as simple as possible. Read more about how to take a sample here.

Registration of the kit
How do I register my kit?

Before sending the sample back to our lab, make sure you have registered your kit.

You can do this by clicking "Register the kit" on our website www.dna-28.com as well as in the "Personal Account" by clicking on the button "Register the kit."

Follow our instructions, and after you have successfully registered your kit, you will receive a confirmation email. The timeline in your profile will also show: "The kit has been registered".

Where do I get the barcode for registration?

The barcode is at the bottom of the tube and has 8 figures.

Also, do not use the * sign when registering your sample.

Sample status
How can I track the status of a saliva sample?

You can easily track the status of your sample through your profile in the "Personal Account". You will receive an email notification from us as we approach the full report of your DNA.

How long does it take to get results ?

It will take about four weeks from the time you place your order until the receipt of the report.

Report
In which language I will receive the report?

You choose the language yourself, during the process of registering the kit: English, German or Russian. At your discretion!

What does the report look like?

You can find an example of the report on the main page, which is a journal, with full details and infographics of the results of your analyzes, also, you can download the PDF version of your report at the final 6 stage in the “Analysis is ready” section. As soon as we finish the analysis of your DNA, you will find your personal genetic passport there.

Should I show the test results to the doctor?

We recommend you to consult a doctor after receiving a report, but this is not obligatory. You are free to dispose of your genetic passport at your discretion.

What if I get a negative result, does that mean I'm sick?

The genetic risk above the line doesn't mean you are sick. It just suggests that your genetic risk is higher than other people. Your actual risk depends on your lifestyle and the environment and your genetic susceptibility. In your report, you will find recommendations for actions to reduce your actual risk.

Click the “Forgot your password?” link in the “Login” window. An email with further instructions will be sent to your inbox.

How can I reset my password in case if I forgot my e-mail?
