Spit a SMALL amount of saliva into the funnel. Lightly tap the base of the tube on a flat surface to allow saliva to flow into the tube. Make sure that the liquid (non-frothy) part of the saliva is between the lines, as shown in Figure 1.
Hold the tube vertically with one hand. Close the funnel cap with your other hand (see picture), pressing on it until you hear a click. The colored liquid in the cap will be poured into the tube and mixed with saliva. Make sure the cap is tight.
Hold the tube vertically. Unscrew the funnel from the tube.
Close the tube tightly with a small cap.
Shake the sealed tube for 10 seconds. Throw the funnel away or recycle it.
Do not eat, drink, smoke or use chewing gum for 30 minutes before collecting samples of saliva so that no impurities are contained in the saliva and enough epithelial cells have accumulated. The process of collecting saliva itself is simple and painless, it usually takes no more than 5 minutes. Pay attention to the black mark on the tube, it is a mark of the amount of saliva (not the level of bubbles) that is essential for accurate analysis.
A barcode is applied to the tube - this is your unique genetic test number. You need to register it in your personal account on the DNA-28 website. If you are taking the test with your family or company, each participant can choose any tube. Be careful: it is important that the saliva in the test tube belongs to the person to whom its number is registered.
Do not swallow the solution. If the solution gets into the eyes or on the skin, wash them with plenty of water. If necessary, consult a doctor.
This device is intended only for collecting samples of human saliva.
A small cap can be choked. Children under 14 years collect saliva under supervision.
